Hello Love Music 👋🏾
My name is slay mayas … I’m an singer and songwriter. I make music about real life, good vibes, manifesting magic, and raising vibrations . I’m originally from queens New York. My love for music began early , but I didn’t know I could sing till I hit age 14 . I found out by accident … and I’ve been singing and crating music ever since. Music is my therapy so I write music for myself first and foremost in the hopes people will be inspired.. I love music.. I love writing.. I just live what I do.
Love Music: We been hearing a lot about you, so we notice your starting to gain a lot of attention how does it feel?
Really? Wow well I’m glad to hear my name is rotating in the streets..( positively) it feels damn good to have people finally caring about what I do . I’ve been doing this for soo long. I’m one of those few artist who is truly passionate about music.. so When I found out I could sing at 14 I immediately started writing music recording etc. But I’d say it wasn’t up until a couple of years ago I really decided to step outside of my comfort zone and rebrand myself and remarket myself and it lets me know that my intuition was right all along so it feels amazing to have people care it feels amazing to have people connect with the music connect with me it’s just all amazing and I’m just soaking it all in
Love Music: Can you please tell our readers more about your new single “My Time”?
Yes My new single it’s my time is basically about it being your time for whatever it is in your life. I wrote that song specifically because I felt like certain things were finally starting to happen for me and I really felt like it’s my time so yeah it’s my time is a song about realizing it’s your time and going full throttle for whatever it is it’s your time to do. It’s a song about the immeasurable joy that comes once you realize everything you’ve been working so hard for is finally coming to fruition.
Love Music: What's the reason behind choosing this name for your single?
I chose the name of the single because as I wrote the hook in the song I realized that’s what the song should be I felt in my heart things were changing for me so I felt it was necessary to name the song it’s my time because I felt like a lot of people could relate as well not just me it’s a very bold statement it’s a very powerful statement when you claim that it’s your time to do whatever it is so that’s why I name the single it’s my time.
Love Music: What has been one of the most exciting achievements of your career so far ?
There’s been a lot of exciting Experiences especially within the last couple of years, but I’d like to say my most exciting thing Is that my music actually touch as people and people are actually affected in the actually care, And they actually stream my music and believe in me it’s the best feeling in the world.
Love Music: What’s your goal in life you want to achieve next?
I always say I want to take this music as far as I can take it I’d love to tour, I’m looking into getting into releasing some Murch very soon, I have a website coming very very soon, I also have a music video dropping for my new single it’s my time. I’d love to go platinum or gold I’d love to win a gram or something you know I feel like once I have something like that under my belt I’d be really satisfied you know cause that’s major.
Love Music: What motivates you to do your best work as a singer?
The love of music the love of creating, the excitement I feel when I’m writing a song and I’m thinking to myself I’m onto something that’s what keeps me motivated that’s what keeps me Wanting to do my best just keep growing and just becoming better and better as an artist and a person
Love Music: Did you choose this industry, as a career, or as a hobby?
I definitely chose the industry of music as a career from the moment I realized I could saying I realized I could really do something with this I’ve been obsessed. I definitely chose this as a career
Love Music: Everybody needs time out. What do you do in your free time?
Yes I’ve learned this beautiful little thing called balance over the last couple of years. To relax I love going to the park I love to walk my dog and sometimes I just enjoy doing nothing as well. I love adventures I love going out to eat going to different places shows concerts etc.
