Dy MooB, female immigrant entrepreneur, singer and producer becoming a highlight in Europe

We are here doing an interview on the anniversary of Dy MooB, a dreamy woman who emigrated from Brazil to Europe and has achieved several of her goals.

Love Music: Congratulations on your birthday! Tell me first how long have you been in the music business?

Dy MooB: First of all I want to thank you for this interview; it's been a great birthday present! I got into music when I was a baby; since I started walking I remember my grandfather and mother putting instruments in my lap, they encouraged me a lot, my mother mainly raised and guided me to be a singer, because at the time she was a singer and performed on local TV and radio. I grew up, and at 17 years old I started to get into music professionally, doing classes, shows and composing music.

Love Music: Interesting! But the idea of having a music-related company already existed in Brazil or was it only born in Europe?

Dy MooB: I've had this company since 2015, but to turn it into a Rock and Metal label I had to emigrate because of the location and ease of acquiring equipment and partnerships. Upon arriving in Portugal, in less than 6 months I struggled with random jobs like civil construction and kitchen assistant until I could transform the company and work for it.

Love Music: Sounds like it was tough times didn't it? And you are also lead singer of the band Master Dy, and creator of MTView magazine! How were these projects born?

Dy MooB: Both projects are old, but like the label I could only put into practice here. The band was after I went through a borderline disorder crisis that unfortunately I suffer from it, and after this crisis I decided to reinvent myself and created the band in homage to myself, that's why it's called Master Dy. It seems selfish but it's actually a pillar of self-help. The magazine came after the blog started to have some prominence last year, and I struggled until I managed to launch the print version of it to help and encourage budding artists.

Love Music: Are you working on all projects at the same time? Do you have news about the band?

Dy MooB: Yes I work on everything at the same time! The band is doing very well, gaining a surprising prominence for its young age and we are working on the new album, but while it's not ready we made a single that will debut soon and it's called "You are not Alone" in good power metal style. And for 2022 we have our "First steps of the Legacy Tour" already pre-scheduled for Europe I invite everyone to visit www.masterdy.com and sign up to compete for tickets and other gifts.

Love Music: This looks like it’s going to be awesome. And about DyMM P&M, is there anything artists can look forward to in the coming months?

Dy MooB: There is! Not only artists, but Rock and Metal fans, stay tuned in the next releases of our label! We will have several styles launching until the end of the year, and for 2022 there are two very strong news: one is our Metal festival that will debut in Portugal and another is our guitar brand, which is already in the final stages of implementation! We will have "DyMM Guitars" in our business group.

Love Music: These are really very important news. It was a pleasure talking to you, hope we can talk more often. Thanks a lot!

Dy MooB: Thank you again for this space, your blog is amazing, and if you allow I would like to invite artists who want to apply for our label: submit your band or project to

www.dymm-productions.com.

Nicholas Chiaro, the mastermind behind Hychrodome

Nicholas Chiaro, the mastermind behind Hychrodome, the 80s inspired pop rock artist, has been hard at work to drop his debut EP for the last few months. Reigning from Staten Island, New York, Hychrodome is focused on making music and connecting to people.

The first single off his debut EP, Sex is For Morons, is arguably one of his strongest songs, “Political Sex”. With an incredible summer beach day vibe, the music is catchy enough to be labeled an earworm.

But that is not the only track that struck our attention, in fact the EP has no skips. The EP continues to get catchier and catchier as you travel down the track list, a creative move we assume Nicholas did intentionally.

This album is a modern mix between Michael Jackson and Nine Inch Nails, and we are SO excited to listen to this EP all summer long.

Interview with UK-based lofi hip-hop artist Confidential

Love Music: Tell us a little bit about yourself. Your background, education, music passion etc. ??

I’m Confidential and I make lofi beats. My background was originally in classical music, playing classical guitar, then I moved onto playing heavier and heavier music until I found myself in a tech metal band, playing music that sounded like Deftones meets Tesseract.

I never had any interest in hip-hop until this one lesson at university where the tutor played this video of The Roots doing a live show. That changed everything for me and I joined a hip-hop band for a few years. After that band, I spent a year trying to do something new musically, but kept getting let down by other musicians until I decided to do things myself.

Love Music: We been hearing a lot about you, with some even starting to call you the face of lofi hip-hop in the UK. How does it feel now you’re starting to gain a lot of attention?

It’s all been very strange, to say the least! I’ve had people from as far as Singapore messaging me on Instagram, telling me how much they like my music and all that, which is really cool. I’m always incredibly grateful when somebody contacts me or shares my music around, but when people say I’m, quote-unquote, the face of something… I dunno, it’s hard to explain.

I mean, I can see that a lot of artists in my genre will use anime artwork instead of their faces and never reveal their names, but I decided that if I wanted to fight for a cause, I’d need to put my face and identity out there.

Love Music: Any upcoming projects?

Yes, I’ve got a new single coming out on June 25th. It’s called Lost Identity and I think it’ll absolutely blow away everything I’ve released before. Lost Identity will be the lead single for my new album, which I’ve called The Search For… and I feel like it’s by far the strongest material I’ve written.

Love Music: What has been one of the most exciting achievements of your career so far ?

To be able to come back from the lowest point in my life and find new identity and happiness through music.

Love Music: What’s your goal in life you want to achieve next?

I started out this project with three goals in mind. One I’ve already accomplished, which was to be featured on the lofi guitar beats playlist that Larry Choppins curates. That was a really big deal for me. The other two are to be featured on the lofi girl playlists on Spotify and YouTube, and to be featured on a Spotify editorial playlist. It would be amazing to see myself on a playlist next to my biggest influences.

Love Music: What motivates you to do your best work?

The idea of improving as a songwriter and musician. It’s as simple as that. I remember this artist called GiwHa asking me what my goal as a musician was. This was a few years ago, but I vividly remember standing there for a moment and simply telling him that I wanted to see how good I could get. I just want to be the best songwriter possible.

Love Music: What is hip-hop, to you?

Somebody already beat me to this one! The best answer was already given by Grandmaster Flash. He said Hip-Hop is the only genre of music that allows us to talk about almost anything. It’s just an examination of life and a social commentary and I think that’s what makes it so controversial, but that’s the case for anything that pushes boundaries and dares to challenge what is normal.

So, for me, I want to break the taboo of mental health. It’s normal to avoid talking about mental health, or to not take it seriously, but I want to challenge that and get the conversations started. Just because you can’t see an ailment doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.

Love Music: Did you choose this industry, as a career, or as a hobby?

It started out as a hobby and I still kind of see it that way. I do take music seriously, but I enjoy it a lot. I didn’t particularly make a conscious choice about becoming a musician, I just happened to really enjoy playing guitar and ended up at college studying music. When it came time to go to university, I couldn’t think of anything I wanted to do more than study music. Here I am today, having fallen down the stairs and seemingly landed on my feet for the most part.

Love Music: Everybody needs time out. What do you do in your free time?

I will do almost anything for an adrenaline rush! When I was really young, I always thought I’d end up being a motocross rider. My dad was definitely grooming my brother and I to be pro racers, but I gave up on that dream after breaking a bunch of bones and almost losing the use of my left hand.

So I’ll always try to do stuff that’ll give me my adrenaline fix, even if it’s something simple like going for a run. But I love anything with a competitive element, like go-karts, riding dirt bikes or BMX. My adrenaline dream is to one day jump out of a plane with no parachute, just like what Travis Pastrana did.

Love Music: How can people find you and follow you online?

The best place is Instagram, which is @confidential_lofi. Outside of that, there’s Facebook at /confidentiallofi and Ko-Fi at /confidential_lofi.

Be sure to also follow me on Spotify if you haven’t already, so you can get notified about all my new releases and hear them first. You really don’t want to miss what’s coming!

Musician, producer, songwriter & guitarist Richard Jellinek is finally back with Quality Music

Musician, producer, songwriter and guitarist Richard Jellinek finally made his comeback in the April of last year after a decade long break from his true passion that is music. Richard did not just return empty handed, he had backpacked some quality music in the time he was gone. He dropped four absolutely wowing singles one after the other as soon as he set his foot on this arena to make up to the people who adore his music and felt his absence when he had paused. The quality quartet of the singles gives off major 80s rock vibes however, the Polish songwriter wanted to add some extra thrill to the songs by making two of the singles from the pop/rock genre nevertheless, he did a spectacular job all of the new songs. Even if you are not into rock music, these songs are definitely worthwhile because they are not your regular old rock songs. The singles are emotional, unfeigned and above all, extremely wholesome which is very unlike most songs of this decade. The names of the four singles that he has released so far are ‘Endless Dreams’, ‘Alternative Love’, ‘Wake Up’ and ‘Spring that Never Came ’. The man is really a lyrical prodigy and has written all four of these songs solely by himself. The messages that these tracks give are everything that Richard stands for. The fans can literally feel the emotions as they are listening to them. Besides making emotional and heartfelt music, Richard also wants his songs to be an inspiration for people that have an attachment with his work that is why he has written a song like ‘Wake Up’, it honestly is the kind of song that keeps you going towards your desired destination no matter how many hurdles you face in the way. The lyrics have the potential to make one feel like they are understood but they need not to stop. Some lyrics from the song are "Wake up; a new day is coming just for you - Another chance to change the whole your life”. It is truly a beautiful song overall like any other Richard Jellinek song. One more interesting thing about his music is that it always tells some kind of story that many people out there can completely relate to. Only one month into the release of his latest single ‘Alternative Love’, the musician got an overwhelming response from the people that listened to the song and the feelings he had to share.

Music might be the passion of this European artist but he has much more to his personality than that. He plays multiple instruments, loves from travel around the world and the surprisingly, he is an expert in marketing. He wrote his first book back in 2017 which he called ‘The Three Pillar of Marketing’ which holds some pretty complex marketing strategies.

Finally Richard Jellinek’s dream of releasing an album that would inspire many lives is going to become a reality this summer. His new LP is coming out in summer 2021 so stay tuned for that!
