George Jacobs presents: Faith Over Fear

An inspirational rap and rock hybrid that turns spiritual conviction into confrontation with doubt.

On Faith Over Fear, George Jacobs treats hip hop not only as a vehicle for rhythm and rhyme, but as a platform for testimony. The solo artist leans into a blend of trap percussion, melodic rap, and alternative rock energy, framing his faith as something active and defiant in the face of anxiety and uncertainty. The track clocks in at three minutes, yet it packs a clear narrative arc that moves from reflection to declaration.

The song opens with a gentle string-based sample that sets a calm and reflective tone. This introduction quickly gives way to a modern trap beat, where crisp hi-hats and steady kicks underline George’s delivery. His vocal approach shifts between rhythmically tight verses and more melodic lines, giving the track a sense of motion without overcrowding the arrangement. The production stays deliberately lean, leaving space around the voice so that the message remains the focal point.

Lyrically, Faith Over Fear is centered on devotion to Jesus Christ, and on the idea that belief can override intimidation, doubt, and spiritual paralysis. George writes from an openly evangelical perspective, pointing toward salvation through Christ and emphasizing that faith is both evidence and anchor in unseen realities. Rather than hiding this behind metaphor, he keeps the language direct, which reinforces the sense that the track is meant as outreach as much as self-expression.

Although George Jacobs describes his work as inspired by the Holy Spirit rather than other artists, listeners familiar with early 2000s rap rock may pick up on a kinship with acts like Linkin Park, especially in the way melody, spoken cadence, and heavy rhythm intersect. In the end, Faith Over Fear stands as a concise statement of belief from George Jacobs, pairing contemporary production with a clear spiritual call.

Darrell Kelley | Sick of This

Boston-born, Atlanta-based singer, songwriter, and social activist Darrell Kelley has released a powerful new single, “Sick of This._

Lyrically, “Sick of This” continues Kelley’s long-running focus on social justice and community uplift. The song speaks directly to cycles of violence in marginalized communities, urging listeners to put the guns down, recognize their heritage, and “start spreading love” instead of blood. Throughout the lyrics he ties pride in African and African-American history to a call for unity, imagining hugs and compassion where there are now headlines about loss, and framing love and solidarity as the true inheritance from “kings and queens” and ancestors who “gave us it all.”

The single is available on all major streaming platforms.

A performance video and official uploads on YouTube are already drawing views in the six-figure range only weeks after release, suggesting the message is resonating with a growing audience.

On Instagram, Kelley has also previewed lines from the track alongside a plea to “stop shedding your own blood” and choose love instead, underscoring the anti-violence stance at the heart of the song.

“Sick of This” follows a string of socially conscious releases such as “Drones” and “I Rebuke You,” which take on issues ranging from government accountability to police brutality. Together with those tracks, the new single reinforces Darrell Kelley’s profile not just as a recording artist, but as a spiritual leader and activist who uses modern gospel, hip hop, and R&B to call for justice, understanding, acceptance, and unity.
