Interview with Chunjay of Royal Ruckus
The two of us are originally from Bakersfield, California, and we grew up at the same school, same church, and same neighborhood. Bakersfield is not known as a sprawling metropolis, but is better known for cotton, hay, and corn (which is funny, because the rock band Korn is also from Bakersfield). I went to college and got a BA in Elementary Education and an MA in Biblical Studies. I used to teach preschool and elementary school. I can remember one time rolling in on the tour bus at 7 am on a Monday morning after a weekend stint of shows in Michigan, and getting off the bus and going straight to work to teach preschool. I’ve always loved music. Grew up on a hip-hop, and really any music that was good was in regular rotation. I got my first radio when I was four or five, first rap record at 6, and was writing my own songs by the time I was 12.
Love Music : Your fans want to know about your new podcast.
Sure! Brews, Beards, and Shipwrecks is the new podcast. I think we’re about 14 episodes in, so it’s only been around a few months. It’s been a lot of fun. We talk about music and culture, beard care, coffee and beer, TV and movies, songwriting, hip-hop, you name it. My favorite part of the podcast is summed up in the by-line: “Because everyone has a story.” I have a lot of rappers on the show, but I also have non-musicians on, and even people you’ve never heard of. I’m convinced everyone has a story worth sharing, and I especially like “shipwreck” survival stories—you know, the hard things in life that have to be endured or overcome. It’s on iTunes, CastBox, TuneIn, Podbean, all the places.
Love Music : Please tell us more about your latest album "The Summer of the Cicadas"?
Cicadas was a labor of love. It’s a double LP of 30 songs. The first half of the record is a true Royal Ruckus record, and the second half is my solo project, though Flatline is all over that half too. It’s a concept record, and we had a lot of fun writing it, and enjoyed collaborating with a lot of old friends, including Joey the Jerk, Cookbook, and Pigeon John all of the rap collective LA Symphony, and we worked with KRUM (formerly Playdough) and Manchild of Mars Ill and Deepspace5. Shoot, the list of artists we worked with is incredible: Bonafide of Grits, DJ Sean P, kidDEAD, Spoken Nerd, Eligh of Living Legends, and several others. We are very proud to have released this record this year. https://royalruckus.bandcamp.com/album/the-summer-of-the-cicadas
Love Music : What motivates you to do your best work?
Simply a love of the art. There’s a lot of bad music out there, and I don’t want to make something different just to be different, I also make it out of love for the art.
Love Music : Your Christmas project?
Yeah, so last Christmas we got asked to be on the Invisible Library compilation, No Sleep Till Christmas, which you can check out here: https://invisiblelibrary.bandcamp.com/album/no-sleep-till-christmas We had so much fun writing for it, while waiting for Summer of the Cicadas to be released, we ended up releasing a three song EP, entitled Lonely Christmas. So one song went on their compilation, and all three went on our EP. https://royalruckus.bandcamp.com/album/lonely-christmas
Love Music : Can you please give our readers any coupon code?
Sure! If your readers want to buy anything from RoyalRuckus.Bandcamp.com, they can get 15% off with the code “feature” at checkout. Of course, you can also get our stuff on iTunes, Spotify, and all the things.
Love Music : Your fans are so excited to see your new single video. Would you like to say anything about this video?
I like to tell people I write two kinds of rap songs: tongue-in-cheek humorous songs, and break-up songs. This is one of the break-up songs, sort of with a throw-back vibe to the boom bap feel of early 90s hip-hop. The video was shot at The Standard in Nashville, a really cool historic building. It will be going live on YouTube and at http://summerofthecicadas.com/videos this weekend
Love Music : If you could perform anywhere, in the world, where would it have to be?
I think it would be awesome to do a tour of Iceland or Russia or something. I have performed in Mexico, Hawaii, and Ukraine, and wouldn’t mind going back to at least two of those!
Love Music : Everybody needs time out. What do you do in your free time?
I like to workout at CrossFit, though I must admit with all the touring I’ve done this year, my fitness has suffered a bit. I’m trying to get back on the fitness wagon. So when I’m not doing that, I’m eating tacos, drinking beer at a brewery, or lounging at the beach. I currently live about a mile from the beach in South Florida, so I really have no excuse not to do that more. I also have two beagles and a chihuahua pug, so that takes up a good bit of my time. I also love to read, so browsing bookstores or lounging at a coffee shop reading are definitely things I enjoy doing. Oh, and going to movies alone. I like that a lot.
Love Music : Are you active on social media? what is the best way to follow you ?
Yeah, you can find us as @royalruckus on Twitter, Soundcloud, and Bandcamp, and @royalruckusofficial on Instagram and Facebook. And of course, our website is http://royalruckus.com, and the podcast is at http://brewsbeards.com

Interview with hip-hop recording artist XXMISFIT
Q : First of all tell us about the start of your professional career?
XXMISFIT : One day, I had went to a studio and jokingly made a song I had thought of. Not thinking anything of it, I posted it on Soundcloud. At this time, I was going under the stage name of “Lil Byrd,” and wasn’t serious about music. Suddenly, it started gaining plays, likes, and reposts. This song becoming my debut song, ”Bands” , hit about 10k plays in a week and that's when it hit me that I should actually start making songs and change my life around. Then one of my boys told me my style is weird, like he never heard it before, its misfit. Thats when I decided to become XXMISFIT, to account for my weird and lonesome style of rapping. Ever since then, I have dropped a couple of songs, performed in some shows, made some music industry friends, and changed my lifestyle around.
Q : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
XXMISFIT: I would have to say the wild and dark nature of Travis Scott influenced me the most. Since I was in middle school, I looked up to Travis and his exotic style of rapping and told myself, I have got to follow his lifestyle and start making music. Aside from him, Ski Mask The Slump God is also one of my main inspirers. His fast-paced vocals and weird style is basically what framed my style of rap.
Q : Tell us about your recent release?
XXMISFIT : Just recently, Ive dropped a song called “Misunderstood.” Its a two-minute song, sampled off of the “Teen Titans” theme song and basically explains my life from start to where I am now. Nobody understands me and the life I am living or things I do and that's why I am misunderstood, hence the title. Misunderstood is my motto and I will never be understood and that's what fuels my music.
Q : What kind of response you have received from the release?
XXMISFIT : People have messaged me saying they really vibe with the song and they understand me which is cool. Knowing that some people understand my misfit nature and rock with my music makes me want to put out more tracks so they can emerge themselves in my world even more.
Q : What attracts you more, performing on stage or working in studios?
XXMISFIT : There just something about being in the booth that calls to me. I get a special vibe whenever I'm in the studio working on some new songs. Everything around me stops and I find its just me and the microphone. Don’t get me wrong though, being on stage, in front of fans, snapchatting and reciting my lyrics is wild no doubt, but being in the studio attracts me more.
Q : What's your favorite music genre?
XXMISFIT : I grew up in the era of new age Hip-Hop and thats all I listen to. After a while, I decided to branch out and start engaging in a little Rock and thats where all of my style comes from. I like to mix the two together and that's when I created my own genre, what I like to call “misfit muzik”
Q : Have you set some target to achieve as a music artist?
XXMISFIT : As of right now, I am just seeking more exposure and getting my feet wet so to speak. First year is the year of learning and making new connections. As I progress, I intend to be the one everyone knows about and make a solid standing for myself in the music industry.
Q : Are you currently working on any other project?
XXMISFIT : Yes, I am working on a EP titled “The X Files” which is releasing mid-December and a mixtape self-titled “Misfit” which is set to be released early-2018.

Interview with NYC based singer & songwriter Anna Basel
Q : First of all introduce yourself to our readers?
Anna Basel : My name is Anna Basel. I am a songwriter/singer who is based in NYC. I hail from a small city in Belarus and started writing songs at the age of 12. My family is also very musical and listening to live performances was part of growing up. I came to NYC in my late teens and been living here ever since. Originally I didn’t even speak English and put my lyric writing skills on hold, however, in 2007 I stared to collaborate with various Trance/House producers for writing my own vocals and lyrics and as a result received support from maga DJ’s producers such as Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyke,David Guetta, Paul Oakenfold and many others.
Q : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
Anna Basel : I was listening to XM radio in 2007 to the vocal trance/house tracks and thought to myself I can do it as well. I met few people who were producing trance at that time and we made few tracks but I thought of it more as fun and didn’t expect for them to get widely played across the globe and to receive the boost and support from the fans. I also visited Amsterdam in 1998 and was fascinated with the album “Dreamland” by Robert Mills. I purchased many copies for gifts to my friends. I wanted to spread that incredible music and sound before it came into the US. As female singers my idols are Billie Holiday,Ella Fitzgerald, Blondie, Anna Netrebko,Bonnie Raitt, group “Heart”.
Q : Tell us about your recent releases?
Anna Basel : My recent release is from my solo project with a Latvian producer of Eurovision 2016 song “Heartbeat” Kasparas Ansons. The song’s style is Deep House and the name is “Give it Time’. It will be availalble on all digital platforms such as Itunes,Beatport,Spotify and etc. It is available now for a preview on my facebook page www.facebook.com/annabaselmusic
Also we just finished a track with the talented producer from Ukraine Igor Leus aka Natlife. It has trance/house/pop in it and it’s very catchy and memorable right away. It’s a very dancy tune:)
Q : What kind of response you have received ?
Anna Basel : I receive many great responses to my tracks. People like them and tell me that they can identify themselves with the lyrics.
Q : What attracts you more, performing on stage or working in studios?
Anna Basel : I am a recording artist and a songwriter. I also like to perform on stage given the opportunity.
Q : What’s your favorite music genre?
Anna Basel : I like EDM in general whether it’s trance/house/techno/pop. It’s very energetic and I can express my message through it. I also like Classical Rock because of the melodic guitar themes and the atmospheric vibe in the songs.
Q : Have you set some target to achieve as a music artist?
Anna Basel : My goal or target is to spread the love and support to people across the globe. I believe that through music it is possible as many artists have done so for centuries. Music brings people together and makes them to forget about worries or problems they are going through. I would like to reach out to the audience who like the genre I am creating in or are just discovering it.
Q : Are you currently working on any other project?
Anna Basel : Yes, I am always writing and working on new tracks.

Interview with Imani Wj Wright
Currently I am working on two projects. One EP and an album titled Transmogrify. Transmogrify is something many of my fans, supporters, and followers should enjoy. It hones in on almost all aspects of me and my artistry. My saxophone play, singing, keyboard play, rapping… I'm excited to release it in the upcoming months.
Love Music : We been hearing a lot about you, so we notice you're starting to gain a lot of attention. How does it feel?
The feeling is indescribable. Being an artist, one of your greatest hopes is for people to appreciate what you do. I think that goes with just being human in general. When you've put so much time, love, and sweat equity into something, your end goal is to make sure all of that was worth it. Recently, I've been feeling it paying off, and it's a blessing. Thank you to all who have been there through the process, and to all who are joining the process. I love you all.
Love Music : Please tell us more about your latest Song: "Lady" ft. Mile$ ?
Lady has to be one of the most fun songs I've ever recorded. I had first recorded it by myself with different instrumentation and verses. Then one day I was thinking to myself: “Wow, Mile$ would really be a nice touch to this song.” Mile$ and I have had previous success on our collaborative track “Window” and I knew he would do well with “Lady”. He ended up adding an entirely new dynamic and feel to the song. People seem to really feel it, and I have a great time performing it with him. We have many shows on the East Coast coming up right now, and we'll definitely have a good time with “Lady”!
https://soundcloud.com/user-4153095/lady
Love Music : What motivates you to do your best work as a musician ?
My competitiveness and my drive. I have been actively pursuing my goal to be one of the most influential artist of all time since I was 7 years old. Nothing will take away my motivation and discipline required to keep striving towards that feat.
Love Music : How would you describe your current sound ?
That is something I try not to do. To all my artist out there, never put yourself in a box and generalize yourself, art is too complex and too detailed for that. At any given moment your “sound” can change. I like to keep everything I do eclectic and versatile. I really leave it up to the audience to determine my sound. My job is to just give them the sound to determine from.
Love Music : What kind of training have you had, if any ?
I have had many forms of training starting at the age of 11 with my first instructor, opera singer, Keri Marshall. I have a pretty heavy background in Opera, and musical theatre. Some of my extensive training has taken place at the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins, the Washington National Opera, and the Lyric Opera House of Baltimore. My time at those institutions had changed my life. My opportunities, accolades, and cultivation as an artist are all in some way a product to my time at those institutions.
Love Music : Who are your musical inspirations?
Anyone who knows me can tell you my number one inspiration as an artist is Miles Davis. When it comes to songwriting specifically, Marvin Gaye is my top influencer. As far as singing goes, Freddie Mercury from the group Queen influences me with his vocal range and lack of “fear” while he's singing/performing. His lack of fear meaning his avant-garde approach to the music and how he makes it all fit.
Love Music : Do you have any advice for anyone wanting to be a professional musician ?
I'll keep this answer short and concise. Expect failure. Accept failure.
Don't “accept” it and just let it go, find your flaws, then floss your flaws.
Love Music : How is your clothing line Swano doing?
Swano is doing well. We have a few new designs that we're working on now and are excited to release soon to the public. As always, you can purchase Swano gear at NoveltyMi.com .
Love Music : What's the best way to follow you ?
You can follow me on Facebook as: Imani Wj Wright and Instagram as: Imaniwjwright1. Also, you can check out my latest music on all streaming platforms as Imani Wj Wright.
I had a great time chatting with you guys.Swano!

A Great Conversation about Philly to Long Branch (part 2)
I started late…playing music, I just appreciated bands growing up…mostly punk, nu-wave and alternative…somewhere along the way I played bass / baritone in a bunch of bands…toured…played guitar and sang my way to what is the current electronic version of the band Untitled Art…
Love Music : We have been hearing a lot about you, so we notice your starting to gain a lot of attention how does it feel?
So far so good for whatever it is…I just want as many people to hear us as possible, I’m interested in getting out and touring…meet people and have that face to face connection…I don’t mind the emails, I like responding…so I’d err on the side there’s a lot more room for us to gain more attention…
Love Music : Please tell us more about your song "Philly to Long Branch (part 2)" ?
It’s based around bout a girl that was in love with me and I her…I’m sure she marked the first time I actually knew what the term true love means…but all things must come to an end…and this song is a summary of our time together in a way…in the grand scheme of the full length record this song sets the tone for where the record heads in terms of topics…it’s the starting point…when James and I worked on the track I was adamint that it had to be different, not just a guitar driven alt rock song…this song started the rabbit hole obsession of electronics…and a path forward as partners in Untitled Art.
Love Music : What motivates you to do your best work ?
Lack of sleep…dreams…relationships…art…the color blue and the softness of foam.
Love Music : Who are your musical inspirations?
The Cure and Robert Smith are a major inspiration…early New Order but once Peter Hook was no longer in the band, I felt less inspired…but I’m inspired from bands like Pennywise, Social D to Rotersand or The Twilight Sad…Curve, Cranes…Slowdive…Numan I could go on and on…
Love Music : Do you have any advice for anyone wanting to be a electronic rockstar?
Yes ask Deadmau5 or Aoki…probably Deadmau5 he interacts a lot on twitter…in fact I’m gonna take my own advice and ask him…but be inspired by other artists but try to be creative and get your own sound and style don’t copy for lack of an idea…be patient and have fun along the way….our 2nd single A Fighter’s Heart (part 2) pays a tribute to Deadmau5 on purpose but we still maintain our own sound/style too….
Love Music : What are your future plans ? Your vision for the coming years.
We intend to release “13” the full length later this year, perhaps first thing in the new year, depends on the deal and distribution…but once that is settled the idea is to get out and tour…I’ve already written the follow up record…so we have about a 3 year plan in place…
Love Music : If you could perform anywhere, in the world, where would it have to be?
Helsinki!!! Scotland, Ireland…Denmark…Berlin…Milan etc etc
Love Music : Everybody needs time out. What do you do in your free time?
I ride a road bike every day and compete in the sport of triathlon/duathlon I take it pretty seriously, I’ve been to several world championship events around the world representing the USA so it’s a lifestyle…also avid surfer, paddle boarding…hanging with my American bulldog…
Love Music : Are you active on social media? what’s the best way to follow you ?
Yeah the best is Twitter @UntitledDave and our band camp page… untitledart.bandcamp.com

Interview with Dimitris Keramidakis
My father was also a musician - guitar player and maestro in local bands. He didn't want me to follow his paths, so i started a little bit old to play music ..I went to conservatory at the age of 12 and at the age of 13 I took a scholarship at the state conservatory of Thessaloniki and attended piano lessons with mr SarantisKassaras. These years I had the opportunity to take a scholarship at the Berklay school of music but I preferred to study classical piano. After 4 years, I took my diploma of piano performance and continued my piano lessons with Milena ,Molova (Plodviv and Sofia) - Roberto Szidon ( Germany) and Ruth Gerald (London). Then, after the classical years, I started to explore the jazz vocabulary by my self and found my path.

Love Music : Please tell us more about your latest release ?
Inner relationship is an album that I had started to write 6 years ago .... I used a lot of stack sounds in my synth sounds and pads. Pianos and ep are stacked together to give a more warm electric sound ... Also, there is a track which i write with the album but release it alone .. The song bebefini was a world jazz attempt with french lyrics that already plays in many radio in Europe.
Love Music : What motivates you to do your best work as producer or composer?
I cannot do anything else. My goal is always to try to pass my own limits and give my best in any kind of music.
Love Music : Who are your musical inspirations?

Love Music : What are your future plans ? Your vision for the coming years.
I plan to make a new album with more organic sound in New York.
Also, I have many notes for a jazz piano book with less complex perspective .

September 2017 is Lord Conrad Touch The Sky official videoclip launch r u ready ????
Interview with Jamez Hunter
In all honesty, it feels good, but weird at the same time. I think that it is mostly because I'm not use to it. It's still a really good feeling though.
Love Music : Please tell us more about your latest release?
My latest song is called "Party Like a Pornstar" which is available on iTunes and Google Play now. It is a pop/rap song about partying and sex obviously. You can't talk about pornstars without talking about sex. It has some catchy lyrics and a really nice beat you can dance to.
Love Music : What motivates you to do your best work as a pop/rap recording artist?
What motivates me to do my best is always striving to make a career out of my hobbies so that I won't have to go back to a normal person job and work for someone. It's exhausting waking up everyday to go make someone else's dreams come true.
Love Music : What has been one of the most exciting achievements of your career so far?
I would say actually starting it is the most exciting achievement so far. I have put it off for so long because I had too many responsibilities.
Love Music : Did you choose this industry, as a career, or as a hobby?
Music has always been a hobby, but when I was about 11 years old, I decided that I wanted to make an actual career out of it. My family still has no idea about this though.
Love Music : What’s your goal in life you want to achieve next as a actor?
I want the world to see what I can do and cast me because of my talents and not my skin color. I don't want a lead role because my ethnicity fits in well with an all black movie/cast or a movie that deals with racism towards my kind.
Love Music : What kind of training have you had, if any?
I studied Theater and Film at Northwest Missouri State University, but most of the things I know are self taught.
Love Music : Everybody needs time out. What do you do in your free time?
I work on either writing music or writing a tv show, movie, or stage play. I don't give myself free time much, but when I do, I guess I just read a book or watch YouTube videos. The only problem with that is the videos I watch are always about filming and how to improve my skill set.
Love Music : How can people find you and follow you online?
My Twitter and Instagram are both under the username Jhuntinghoes and you can also find me on Spotify, iTunes, Google Play, and YouTube by searching for "Jamez Hunter".

Ezra talks success and music
Hello, I can't really say whats unique about me, that's up to the fans. They decide.
Love Music : Having so many different talents which one do you favor the most?
I like to think that my favorite talent is singing, but then I'd be lying. My favorite is to help people when they are in need.
Love Music : How does the music in Russia compare to the music In the us?
The music in Russia is a lot different with a few things. First you have the style of electronic music, it has a very different sound than what you hear in the USA. The vocals as well, many work so hard to actually sound the way they do in the studio live, but then again, so does the US. I guess what i am trying to say is that music is the same, it speaks to everyone differently and they way it is, is the way it talks to you.
Love Music : In your songs, what are some of stories behind them?
My songs are all about personal things I have gone through or have experienced, for example, "I Remember" is based off of my good friend "John Doe" losing his two children in a fire. It was a horrific event, and I wanted to show him that it is about the memories you shared and to hold them close.
Love Music : How do you come up with song concepts?
Most if not all of my music is all from personal experiences. I write from the heart, and listen with my soul.
Love Music : What can we expect from you in the rest of 2017?
Well, for 2017 nothing new, however.... In 2018 you can expect a new single, and maybe a new album even. And even bigger plans lie ahead for 2019... I might be hinting at a Tour, but I guess you will have to follow me on twitter for more news! @EzraRomanov

Interview with Sean Rourke ( Rawkey )
My Name is Sean Rourke Insurance professional and part time musician. I have always been into music playing and composing at an early age and following my love of house music I started to DJ in various clubs around Yorkshire. My close friend and amazing DJ Dean Arundel ( AKA Ginna) suggested I went into producing and I have progressed from there. Its only been six months since i started taking it seriously and everyday i am learning something new!
Love Music : We been hearing a lot about Rawkey Productions so we notice your starting to gain a lot of attention how does it feel?
Its nice to have people listen to your tracks and appreciate the work that goes into them. The most amazing thing is people from places i have never heard of have been in contact to say hello and we like what your doing music can connect people from the strangest places.
Love Music : What motivates you to do your best work ?
I love disco music and funky piano house I often listen to music for a couple of hours to get some inspiration before siting down to compose. My children often ask me to make them something new and they are the harshest critics so if I can see them dancing I know it might be well received.
Love Music : Please tell us more about Rawkey Productions Intoxicated?
Intoxicated is one of my favourtie tracks so far it reminds me of the mental nights in Leeds West Yorkshire in clubs like Federation and Fibre piano live saxaphone and everyone dancing with a huge smile on their face. Its being very well received and is currently with Spinning Pool records in their talent pool.
Love Music : Please share with us your proudest moments in Music ?
My Proudest moments in music was seeing my first record signed and live on Spotify and Itunes seeing your track up their with your artwork and people listening to it is an amazing feeling.
Love Music : Do you have any advice for anyone wanting to be a professional musician?
Don't let it rule your life! Music should be about expression and feeling it has to have meaning and most of all you have to enjoy what you are doing if you don't enjoy what you are producing you will never write your best work.
Love Music : Have you set some goals to achieve ?
I would like to set up a company helping children get into music production and take it around schools in Yorkshire. I would also like to work with disadvantaged people and ex offenders helping them find a new passion and possibly a carrier.
Love Music : Everybody needs time out. What do you do in your free time ?
I Work Full time and have a wonderful wife and two beautiful children so my spare time is spent with them. My music production gets a couple of hours when they are all in bed as much as i love music I love my family more so they will always come first.
Love Music : How can people find you and follow you online?
You can follow me on Spotify artist name RAWKEY and also on sound cloud https://soundcloud.com/rourkey22
